Early Notice - 2010 Writing It Real in Port Townsend Conference
Here's our early notice about the PT conference so you can start your spring planning, put the gift of attendance on your Christmas wish list or find some friends to come with you for a great weekend away.


2010 Conference Dates: April 23-25, 2010
Writing it Real’s annual writers’ conference will be back in Port Townsend in 2010. Faculty members Sheila Bender, Meg Files and Jack Heffron will offer you hands-on lectures, small group in-class writing instruction, small group manuscript workshops, and writing and publishing consultations in our weekend intensive Friday evening through Sunday late afternoon at the wonderful Victorian Palace Hotel on Water Street in the heart of Port Townsend.


Our sessions will be held in the Victorian parlors and mezzanine where a gathering buffet and morning tea, coffee, muffins and snacks will be served. You will also be in close walking distance to shops and Port Townsend’s wonderful restaurants and coffee houses. Each room has a small refrigerator and microwave. If rooms are fully booked at the Palace, email conference@writingitreal.com for hotel suggestions a very short walk through our Victorian town to the Palace hotel or use these links to “visit” the Swan, Bishop and Washington hotels.

Early Bird Sign up by January 15, 2010
$300.00, price includes one-year subscription to Writing It Real online magazine.
$350.00 sign up by February 15, 2010, price includes one-half year subscription to Writing It Real online magazine.
$375.00 after February 15, 2010.

Fall Writing It Real in Madison, WI, Writers' Conference, October 15-17, 2010
We'll be repeating our conference for those of you who want to visit beautiful Madison, WI during the fall color. Our conference fees are the same in fall as in spring. We'll be housed at a lovely retreat center among fall leaves, a lake and rolling hills. If you are ready to reserve space at this conference, let us know by email.
