I work individually with people by telephone and email on essays, articles, fiction and poems. I provide a detailed written response and edits that address structure and organization, wording and phrasing, deep meaning and how to evoke it, as well as ways in which your manuscript can be developed for marketability. I work with applicants to undergraduate and graduate and profession degree programs, too.

I use an extremely gentle but thorough response method. It helps writers bring first drafts to the content and organizational level of finished essays or poems. I keep track of the minutes I use in each pass and let you know how much of the time you purchased is left after each of my responses. Response time is is within 24 to 48 hours.

I am a developmental editor. I can advise you on shaping your memoir or nonfiction how-to book manuscript so others feel satisfied as readers. The fee includes a one-hour phone conversation (I’ll call you) with my response and editorial advice as well as extensive notes on the manuscript itself, which, after we speak, I will email or mail back to you using the self-addressed stamped envelop you enclose.
