Riley Martin studied in the UW Nonfiction Writers’ Program. She has had two essays published in the Seattle Times, seen her work in a study guide for community college students, and won second prize in a writers' conference essay contest. Two large extended families and two part-time jobs challenge cheeks-in-the-seat writing time, but a supportive writing group helps with that.
