Michael D'Assandro worked as an architect for 12 years before earning his MFA in creative writing from Naropa University. His day jobs include community work for Portland's Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC) for writers, artists and printers and directing Northwind Arts Center in Port Townsend, WA. Along the way, he founded bedouin books. He also teaches creative writing, publishing, letterpress printing and bookbinding as well as seminars in poetry.
