Kate Foley Cusumano, former Navy officer and elementary school teacher, is working on a memoir about becoming the first female in the Navy ROTC at the University of Missouri. A Midwesterner at heart, she has been influenced by years spent in faraway places, Alaska, Hawaii, Japan and Italy, among others. She is an adjunct professor for the University of Arizona.
