About Lawrence W. Cheek

Lawrence W. Cheek is a newspaper journalist whose has also written for magazines including Arizona Highways, Sunset, American Heritage, and Architecture. His newest book is The Year of the Boat: Beauty, Imperfection, and the Art of Doing It Yourself. He teaches for UW's Educational Outreach and Whidbey Island's MFA program.
