Sandi Sonnenfeld is a fiction writer and essayist. Her memoir, This Is How I Speak, explores her first year in the MFA Fiction Writing Program at the University of Washington and was a Booksense 76 finalist. She was a 2002 Celebration Author by the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association, which recognizes Northwest writers whose work merits special notice.
