Existential Threat, an Article by Dahr Jamail — 3 Comments

  1. POWERFUL article, Dahr Jamail.

I have four granddaughters who will experience these horrific changes.
And I currently live seven feet above sea level on the west coast, where horrific fires are laying waste to the forests we depend on to purify the air.
    My question is this:
What can individuals do to reverse these changes? Or must it take world-wide efforts to save humans, as well as the planet?

  2. Reading this has inspired me to start writing research based stories about the war on people with disabilities currently going on in the US.

  3. Thank you for presenting this frightening wake up call, Sheila.
I spent my insomniac hours last night writing an essay aimed at convincing Americans that we are largely responsible for the filthy air spewing from China and drifting around the world. My premise is nothing new, of course, but in the face of such obvious climate change disasters as the vicious string of hurricanes in the southeast, and the devastating wildfires in California, I can no longer sit back and wish for the best. I hope to have my essay published as an op-ed piece in the Sacramento or San Francisco paper.
