About Jean Peelen

Jean Peelen grew up in New Jersey but found her soul in Alabama. At 35, she became a civil rights attorney working in school desegregation, the rights of children with disabilities, and the rights of women in education. At 59, she became a model of “healthy over 50” for national print ads and commercials; and now she is exploring writing.
